Job Summary
The Access Center Coordinator supervises and coordinates the services and daily operations at the Foundation for Recoverys Access Center and acts as an ambassador of the organization through targeted outreach efforts in the this role youll provide compassionate and professional case management support to individuals living with substance use and mental health disorders develop a referral network to assist patrons with accessing community-based services and conduct individualized screenings and assessments to enroll participants in our programs or refer to other community resources. Using motivational interviewing assessment tools and active listening skills youll assist individuals in the Access Center find appropriate services based on their needs and screen individuals for enrollment in the Foundations recovery support programs.
Located on the first floor of our building and open Monday - Thursday the Access Center is the Front Door of the Foundation for Recovery and is the first point of contact our organization has with individuals interested in the Foundations programs. The Access Center provides the community with a safe place to seek assistance with navigating resources and care in Las Vegas and obtaining survival items such as clean socks hygiene kits Narcan Fentanyl Test Strips and other items. Access Center staff provide immediate services and resources including referrals to treatment scheduling transportation to services recovery planning Medicaid SNAP and TANF eligibility and program enrollment at the Foundation.
The ideal individual for this position is knowledgeable and well connected with local resources and providers has prior experience as a CADC working with people experiencing homelessness trauma mental health and substance use conditions an understanding of peer support and overdose prevention strategies and has great personal boundaries and time management skills.

Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years of prior experience with standard office practices and procedures including office etiquette records management and use of case management or electronic health record system and using computer programs such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • 2 years of experience working with people with behavioral health disorders and individuals from various socio-economic ethnic and cultural backgrounds
  • 1-2 years of experience using electronic health records or case management database
  • Must understand and adhere to the Nevada Certification Boards code of ethics for Peer Recovery Support Specialists federal and state confidentiality laws and regulations and Nevada mandatory reporting laws and regulations
  • Must have a current valid drivers license as well as current personal vehicle insurance.
  • Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America.
  • Must be proficient with Zoom video conferencing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors degree in psychology social work public health or related field.
  • Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC)
  • 2 years of prior experience working with nonprofits preferred.
  • Continuing education or training in harm reduction trauma-informed care peer support ethics confidentiality motivational interviewing suicide prevention mandatory reporting or others.
  • Prior experience working with state and federal grants.
Essential Functions
  • Manage incoming requests and inbound referrals to the recovery community center including calls emails pre-enrollment submissions and walk-ins.
  • Completes various assessments surveys interviews and other data collection methods to track outcomes of individuals for grantors management and community partners.
  • Educate participants about membership to the community recovery center and programs available at the Foundation other treatment and recovery options harm reduction tools and strategies and local resources.
  • Manages front desk and flow of participants between workers Data entry and recording in case management system
  • Be the key to health activation by listening to the needs fears and goals of our individuals and educating individuals on how to access and engage in the health system
  • Provide individualized support empowerment and encouragement to members through coaching and everyday interactions
  • Offer recovery management strategies and tools; like journaling breathing and mindfulness techniques among others
  • Offer harm reduction strategies and tools; like Narcan fentanyl test strips safer use
  • Listen to members barriers; offering assistance to remove barriers through linkages to resources and other programs at Foundation for Recovery
  • Provide regular communication to members through phone text and in-person follow-ups and check-ins
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation using the organizations case management software
  • Prepare program grant and caseload reports as needed
  • Understand and adhere to all state and federal confidentiality laws and regulations
Work Environment
Our employees work in a supportive and collaborative office environment. This position is full-time and based in Las Vegas at Foundation for Recoverys main office. Foundation for Recovery will provide all the tools necessary to perform the duties of the position.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists hands and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Job Details and Salary
  • Full-time hourly non-exempt employee
  • Fringe benefits including health vision and dental insurance available after 90 days of employment.
  • Salary Range: $22 - $27 per hour commensurate with experience
  • PTO/Vacation Package
