Worley is seeking a SeniorProject Controls Managerto join ourProject Controlsteam at our office in Calgary Alberta.

Directs and manages the entire spectrum of Project Controls activities for a Portfolio Project. Responsible for the management of the Project Control activities including scheduling budgeting cost control risk management and reporting. Responsible for managing the project controls teams within the Portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of project specific PC execution strategies within the portfolio
  • Create and maintain consistency on all projects within the portfolio
  • Lead development and setting standards for advance Project Controls reporting (cost progress earned value resource bench marking etc.)
  • Manage development of procedures for various project control activities including control budget preparation cashflow forecasts progress tracking change management
  • Chair Weekly / Bi-weekly & monthly project status review meetings for the portfolio
  • Manage cost activities including development and implementation of cost control systems invoice processing activities monthly cost reporting trending FAC Analysis cost variance analysis funding budgets and cash flows;
  • Manage planning & scheduling activities including development of summary and detailed project schedules progress and performance monitoring schedule deviations and workaround solutions
  • Facilitate and oversee the risk assessment mitigation and contingency planning process for the Portfolio
  • Coordinate and issue consistent project reports including progress cost and schedule;
  • Ensure full integration between the estimating cost control planning/scheduling and risk management functions within project / portfolio
  • Ensure that invoices are tracked confirmed and handed off to Accounts Payable properly.
  • Support and advise Portfolio Team on project controls issues and needs on the portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15years experience in industrial construction and/or maintenance field required specializing in project controls. Field project controls experience with general contracting company preferred.
  • Possess full understanding of project controls deliverables on individual projects and synergies at a portfolio level
  • Experience in leading / managing portfolio projects and project controls teams
  • Experience on large-scale oil/gas and petrochemical and mining EPFC (Engineering Procurement Fabrication and Construction) and EPCM projects.
  • Demonstrated experience and working understanding of project planning and scheduling cost control progress tracking and reporting.
  • Experience in setting up and managing details progress trackers for key commodities on construction projects
  • Experience in tracking and reporting engineering and construction progress/performance
  • Demonstrated capability to lead a group responsible for control of planning scheduling cost control and reporting activities
  • Ability to interpret and perform analysis of cost and schedule reports and data
  • Ability to lead SRA and CRA processes and applications
  • Working knowledge and skills in the use of software such as Primavera Power BI Ecosys and cost control systems
  • Proficient in developing and managing dashboards (using Power BI/Power App) on cost schedule and progress reporting
  • Demonstrated strong technical competence
  • Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills
