Per Diem APRN/NP and/or PA Cardiovascular Unit Waterbury Connecticut
UConn Health/Waterbury Hospital is seeking an experienced Per Diem APRN/NP or Physician Assistant (PA) for day & nocturnist shifts in the Cardiovascular Unit.
Provide independent high-quality critical care for cardiac and cardiothoracic patients assist with pre- and post-operative management and support patient transitions across the care continuum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inpatients on cardiac and cardiothoracic services under attending supervision
- Care for patients with myocardial infarction acute coronary syndromes post-op open-heart procedures and mechanical support devices (IABP Impella)
- Perform comprehensive assessments order tests interpret hemodynamics and participate in advanced procedures
- Educate patients families and staff while collaborating with the interprofessional team
Requirements:
- Current Connecticut APRN/PA license with DEA and controlled substance registration
- Minimum 2 years APP experience preferred
- Experience with first-assist capabilities preferred
- Strong cardiovascular clinical expertise and communication skills
