Communications & PR Marketing Intern

The Communications & PR Marketing Intern supports our marketing and communications team. This role offers hands-on experience in public relations corporate communications and brand storytelling. The intern will assist with media outreach content development and internal/external communications efforts while gaining exposure to strategic messaging and reputation management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting press releases media pitches and public-facing communications
• Support media outreach efforts including building and maintaining media lists
• Monitor media coverage and compile regular press and sentiment reports
• Help develop content for blogs newsletters social media and company announcements
• Support internal communications including employee updates and leadership messaging
• Conduct research on industry trends competitors and media opportunities
• Assist in planning and executing PR campaigns events and announcements
• Ensure brand voice and messaging consistency across all communications

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications Public Relations Marketing Journalism or a related field
• Strong writing editing and proofreading skills
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication channels

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing for a school publication blog or internship
• Basic understanding of media relations and PR strategies
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools or databases
• Experience with content management systems or email marketing platforms
