Job Summary

$20/hr. tips

Requirements:

  • Previous sushi raw bar oyster shucking or seafood prep experience is preferred but not required. We provide thorough training for individuals with strong knife skills attention to detail and an interest in learning proper oyster handling shucking and presentation.
  • Must be able to follow health and safety standards for handling raw seafood including proper oyster storage temperature control sanitation and cross-contamination prevention.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food quality and sanitation standards.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sushi oyster and seafood items according to recipes specifications and restaurant standards.
  • Handle store clean and prepare fresh fish oysters shellfish and other seafood products safely and properly.
  • Shuck oysters safely cleanly and efficiently for service.
  • Check sushi ingredients oysters shellfish and seafood for quality freshness and proper handling before serving.
  • Maintain proper storage rotation labeling and temperature standards for sushi oysters and seafood items.
  • Plate and present sushi oysters and seafood dishes according to restaurant standards.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times including proper seafood handling and cross-contamination prevention.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to support timely and efficient service.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
