Women's Engagement Coordinator

This is a high-impact leadership role driving meaningful change across the Northern Land Councils Caring for Country (CFC) Ranger Program.

About the Role

As the Womens Engagement Coordinator you will lead the design and delivery of the NLCs Womens Ranger Strategy supporting more Aboriginal women to join stay and grow in ranger roles. You will work alongside Traditional Owners ranger groups and key stakeholders to strengthen culturally safe pathways leadership development and workforce participation for Aboriginal women in our regions.

What you will bring

You bring experience leading culturally responsive programs or workforce initiatives underpinned by a strong understanding of Aboriginal culture kinship systems and community engagement. You have a demonstrated ability to build trusted respectful relationships across communities and stakeholders and you communicate with clarity and purpose. Your strengths in mentoring coordination and program delivery enable you to support participation develop capability and achieve meaningful outcomes.

You will also have:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences community development indigenous studies gender studies public policy and/or relevant experience in leading people and teams in a culturally safe way.
• Strong understanding of cultural practices kinship and Aboriginal Languages.
• Demonstrated application of professional theory or frameworks in culturally responsive workforce or community engagement practice.
• Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal women in the NT.

We offer:

• A base salary of between $102669 per annum plus 15% superannuation
• Salary sacrificing up to $15900 Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefit up to $2650 per year.
• Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
• • District allowance of up to $4884 (DA2) per annum for individuals with dependents and $2678 (DA1) without dependents.
  • Generous leave provisions 5 weeks annual leave and 18 days personal leave;
  • Paid Christmas close down;
  • Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare allowance with a net (in hand) value of $3177
