We are looking to add to our Welcome Desk Team!
All employees of the Springfield JCC are responsible forcreating relationships with members to add valuetotheir membership and to enhance their sense ofbelonging with the JCC community.
This is an hourly part time non-benefitted position. Hours per week average 20-24. Weekend and holiday hours may be requested. The JCC operates Monday-Thursday 5:30am-9pm Fridays 5:30am-5:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays 7am-5pm. This position has a pay range of $16-$18.50 per hour and is commensurate with education and experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Greets members and guests warmly directing them to their destination and
- answering questions
- Engages with current and prospective members by providing up-to-date
- information about programs events and whats happening around the JCC;
- answering inquiries about activities through the building
- Answers membership questions and assists with new member transactions
- Ensure the lobby is clean and orderly
- Ensure the coffee station is stocked and clean
- Works with members to establish user confidence with JCC technology or process changes that may occur
- Responds directly to member feedback with follow through to appropriate
- departments and additional follow-up to members
- Answers phones screens and directs calls provides information to callers and/or takes and relays messages when appropriate
- Maintains accurate cash drawer reconciling payments and cash at the end of
- shift.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
18 years of age with reliable transportation
High School Graduate or GED at minimum
Customer service experience preferably in an office environment
Willingness to be flexible with schedule & cover additional shifts when needed
Ability to multi-task effectively under pressure
