Overview

The position of Operator 1s primary function is to keep the facility clean in order to eliminate safety and fire hazards. The individual in this position will work in the Planer and regularly perform the following tasks: general facility clean up including picking up slabs sticks sawdust chips off lower mill floors and assist with dust mitigation.

Shift Schedule:

This position has an hourly rate of $23.34-$29.31 ($48547 - $60964 annually) which does not include any applicable shift differential. Production bonuses are possible for every employee each month based on the plant sites target goals.

Responsibilities

  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all company work and safety standards
  • Keep sawmill/planer clean areas include basement walkways chipper and etc.
  • Pick up slabs sticks sawdust and chips off lower mill floors
  • Assist with dust mitigation
  • Good communication skills through writing speech and hearing
  • Follow company lockout policies
  • Notify supervisor of any problems that might arise
  • Be willing to train at machine centers
  • Help relieve for breaks and lunches
  • Apply good housekeeping standards to your work area or any area you observe

  1. Fall Protection
  2. Lockout
  3. PIT (Powered Industrial Truck)
  4. Ladder
