Job Summary

MedicationAdministration:Medicationtechniciansprepareandadministerprescribedmedicationsincludingoraltopicalandsomeinjectableformsfollowingthefiverightsofmedicationadministration:-administrationwhenappropriate.MedicationManagement:.PatientEducationandSupport:Theyprovideguidancetopatientsandfamiliesaboutmedicationsincludingpotentialsideeffectsandadherencetoprescribedregimenswhileofferingemotionalsupportandencouragement.
RegulatoryCompliance:Medicationtechniciansmustadheretostateandfederallawsfacilitypoliciesandsafetyprotocolsensuringallmedicationadministrationislegallycompliant.

Additional Duties
- AssistingwithgeneralpatientcareifcertifiedasaCNAorsimilarrole.Participatinginqualityassuranceinitiativestoimprovemedicationmanagementpractices.Reportinganymedicationerrorsordiscrepanciespromptlytosupervisors.
Medicationtechniciansplayavitalroleinpatientsafetyandhealthcareefficiencyactingasabridgebetweenpatientsandthebroadermedicalteamwhileensuringmedicationsareadministeredaccuratelyandresponsibly.
