Diversity & Inclusion Officer [26088]
Job Summary
As part of the D&I team at ESA you will have the following responsibilities:
- Support ESA Chief Diversity Officer in devising solutions to address D&I challenges and contribute to implementation;
- Support the definition of the D&I Action Plan and Strategy;
- Prepare D&I-related statistics from existing D&I database to feed ESAs D&I reports upon request;
- Upgrade regularly the existing D&I database with relevant information statistics and analyses ;
- Report any particular issue within D&I database to ESA Chief Diversity Officer ;
- Independent research and analysis including benchmarking on best practices relevant to D&I for ESA as well as for the space sector and other comparable organisations;
- Perform ad hoc studies and policy analysis on D&I;
- Content research generation layout and maintenance check of ESA Intranet D&I page;
- Prepare D&I internal communication/announcements;
- Supply of relevant D&I material and content to ESA staff for external presentations;
- Interface with internal and external communication when needed;
- Write and edit various sorts of D&I articles for magazines newspapers blogs etc.
- Set-up and maintain dedicated mailing lists for dissemination of D&I information e.g. delegations academic institutions industry
- Support preparation of briefs presentations and speaking notes upon request of ESA Chief Diversity Officer tailored to specific audience and context.
- Support scheduling and organization of events workshops international days relevant to D&I and follow-up.
Qualifications :
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- University degree Masters from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in the fields of economics law or other related fields of studies;
- Interest in D&I
- Good communication skills (writing skills in particular)
- Demonstrated ability to draft briefs and provide policy/strategy advice
- Good knowledge of specificities of international organisations and science and technology-driven organisations like ESA
- Excellent analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability and confidence to work with Power Point and Excel
- Capacity to identify priority actions
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to adapt to a multi-cultural environment
- Fluent in English and good knowledge of French or Italian
