Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will assist in the daily operation of the clubhouse facility golf programs tournaments and outing administration along with the daily play of golf. Duties include cash handling daily deposits and recordkeeping as well as the operation of the concession area. Position will assist in golf cart fleet management and help supervise range staff and beverage cart staff. Individual will help instruct junior golf program as well as group lessons. Supervise and manage the total golf operations in a professional and efficient manner in the absence of the Head Golf Professional.

Veenker Memorial Golf Course is a premier public facility owned and operated by Iowa State University. Veenker is located in Ames Iowa and was established in 1938. Veenker offers a full range of golfing activities for the enjoyment and benefit of Iowa State students faculty staff friends of I.S.U. and the City of Ames. The 18 hole golf course is a par 72 and plays to 6800 yards from the back tees. We also offer a full service practice area including 3 putting greens and target greens.

Required Minimum Qualifications (for temps/postdocs only delete for all other positions):
Ability to read write and follow directions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in golfing
- Prior experience in customer service
- General knowledge of ForeUp

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
