Material Handler

Salary: $18-20/hour

Position Summary:

Material Handler is responsible for supporting production teams by delivering necessary supplies managing inventory and assisting in maintaining an organized workspace. The Material Handler acts as a liaison between various departments to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Primary Functions:

• Efficiently transport materials and tools to and from production lines to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor stock levels of supplies and communicate needs to the inventory team to prevent shortages.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment ensuring that all materials are easily accessible and properly stored.
• Assist operators and other team members with tasks as needed including minor adjustments to equipment or processes.
• Act as a point of contact for production teams addressing any issues related to material availability or workflow.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Participate in lean initiatives and suggest improvements to enhance workflow and efficiency.
• Champion safety company culture and ethics
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
• Proficiency in using basic tools and equipment.
• Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing setting
• Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job such as:
  • Safely navigating a manufacturing environment
  • Extended periods of standing walking and frequent bending and stooping
  • Using tools and equipment with ability to be forklift certified
  • Perform frequent lifting up to 25 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Attendance Requirements: Attendance on a regular consistent basis is mandatory.
