Job Summary
Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria Virginia and Orlando Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning design infrastructure management technical consulting engineering and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army Air Force Navy Marine Corps) missions along with other US federal agencies all over the world.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect/Engineer to support the construction of a new boiler building and controls project at the Miami VA Medical Center (MVAHCS) Miami FL. You will assist in the areas of report generation project monitoring project engineering planning scheduling design reviews code compliance testing record keeping quality control cost control pay applications and progress reports and general oversight of design & construction.
This is contingent on the project award and the contract duration is one year with three option years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Senior leadership and mentorship.
- Provide consultation regarding business technical and personnel management involving multidisciplinary and diverse functional activities.
- Responsible for providing information to the Chief.
- Responsible for projects in terms of technical quality cost and schedule.
- Maintain daily progress reports and inspection reports.
- Lead the inspection and quality assurance team assigned to projects to ensure oversight of timely and effective projects.
- Demonstrate knowledge of VA standards FAR NFPA and OSHA requirements.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Engineering or Architecture from an accredited University or 14 years of directly related experience in lieu of degree.
- Licensed Architect or Engineer in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in management of facility construction multimillion dollar projects.
- Experience in Central Utilities Buildings Boiler Plants on Federal or Healthcare Facilities.
- Experience in supervision of engineering design and construction schedule control cost management and program budgeting and overall project management activities.
- Strong knowledge of construction documents as well as superior management and communication skills.
- Must possess a valid drivers license.
