Job Summary
Description
- Provide process engineering and metallurgical support to site operations including realtime troubleshooting of plant variability losses and production constraints
- Partner with operations supervisors and operators to resolve process product quality and throughput issues across flotation DMS dewatering and granulation circuits
- Identify evaluate and implement process improvements to increase recovery throughput uptime and product quality with emphasis on highmargin production
- Analyze process data trends and operating conditions to develop actionable insights that reduce variability operating cost and rework
- Design execute and evaluate process trials and performance testing; document results and standardize successful improvements
- Establish and maintain operating parameters and process documentation including SOPs BFDs PFDs P&IDs and material and energy balances
- Support mineral processing circuit design and optimization (crushing sizing flotation DMS dewatering and granulation) including feasibility analysis for plant upgrades and new systems
- Lead capital and continuous improvement projects including scope development technical evaluation implementation support and performance tracking
- Champion advanced process monitoring predictive analytics and nextgeneration process control initiatives translating operational challenges into scalable datadriven solutions that deliver measurable economic value
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Metallurgical Engineering Mineral Processing Industrial Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of process engineering experiencein industrial or mineral processing environments
- Experience in potash mining or industrial minerals processing
- Experience applying analytics vision systems or predictive tools to improve process performance
- Familiarity with data driven decision support or semi-autonomous process control
- Experience supporting multi-site operations
- Strong understanding of metallurgical and mineral processing fundamentals
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable operational improvements
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Effective communication and collaboration with frontline operations teams
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in dynamic environments
- Proficiency with engineering and business systems (e.g. Excel process modeling tools ERP systems)
- Is regularly required to use hands to type touch handle or feel
- Is frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms
- Is occasionally required to walk and climb or balance
- May occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
