Role Overview: The Financial Control Engine

We are a large-scale tire and auto repair business with 150 stores across the United States. To support our growing finance operations we are seeking a highly detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Cash Reconciliation Specialist to manage daily reconciliations across all store locations.

This role is responsible for ensuring that all incoming payments including cash checks and credit card transactions are accurately posted and reconciled within our ERP system. You will play a critical role in identifying discrepancies investigating variances and coordinating directly with store locations to resolve issues efficiently.

This is a high-volume operational accounting role best suited for someone who enjoys structured financial processes has exceptional attention to detail and can maintain accuracy in a repetitive deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

I. Daily Cash Reconciliations

Reconciliation Management: Perform daily cash reconciliations for approximately 150 retail store locations across the United States.

Transaction Posting: Accurately post cash check and credit card payments into NetSuite ERP.

Sales Verification: Compare posted payment activity against reported sales within the system to ensure balances reconcile correctly.

Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate reconciliation variances identify outliers and resolve inconsistencies in a timely manner.

II. Financial Accuracy & Follow-Up

Issue Identification: Proactively flag missing payments duplicate entries posting errors or unusual transaction activity.

Store Coordination: Communicate directly with individual store locations to gather supporting information and resolve outstanding reconciliation issues.

Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and accurate financial records while adhering to internal accounting procedures.

Quality Control: Ensure all reconciliations are completed with a high degree of accuracy as errors directly impact financial reporting and operational visibility.

Who You Are

Experience & Background

Bookkeeping Experience: Previous experience in bookkeeping accounting support reconciliations accounts receivable or financial operations roles.

ERP Experience: Comfortable working within accounting systems or ERP platforms such as NetSuite QuickBooks SAP or similar systems.

High-Volume Environment: Experience handling repetitive financial processes with consistent accuracy and attention to detail.

Skills & Competencies

Attention to Detail: You can quickly identify discrepancies missing information and reconciliation issues across large datasets.

Analytical Thinking: Comfortable investigating variances and following financial audit trails to resolution.

Organization: Able to manage multiple reconciliations and follow-ups simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Communication: Strong written English communication skills for coordinating with store teams and internal departments.

Reliability: You are dependable process-oriented and capable of maintaining accuracy throughout a full workday.
