Position: Occupational Therapist
Salary Range: $43-$47 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday (no weekend rotation)
Location: 130-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at a 130-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. As an Occupational Therapist you will work with patients of all ages to help them improve their ability to perform daily living and work activities. Your role will be crucial in helping our patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients physical emotional and cognitive abilities to determine their occupational therapy needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals and improve their daily functioning.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities such as exercise adaptive equipment and activities to help patients improve their motor skills coordination and range of motion.
- Educate patients and their families on how to safely and effectively perform activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as physicians nurses and physical therapists to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated treatment plan.
- Document patient progress and communicate regularly with the healthcare team to adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to Occupational Therapy Assistants and other support staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state Occupational Therapy license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles techniques and modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate patient and empathetic attitude towards patients.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Salary and Benefits:
