Position: Occupational Therapist
Salary Range: $35-45 per hour
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at our 58-bed skilled nursing facility in coastal Maine. Our facility offers post-hospital short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care services and we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our residents.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a licensed Occupational Therapist with a strong background in rehabilitative and therapeutic care. They will have a passion for working with elderly patients and a commitment to helping them regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess the functional abilities and limitations of patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and goals
- Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve motor skills coordination and strength
- Educate patients and their families on adaptive equipment and techniques to improve daily living skills
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitative and therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
