Key Responsibilities
- Implements maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries benefits 401k garnishments taxes and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires terminations and changes to pay rates.
- Processes weekly payroll for office and field employees.
- Provides assistance to Human Resources as needed.
- Process weekly employee expense reimbursements.
- Files payroll taxes weekly quarterly and year-end as well as processing W2s.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Provides assistance to the Accounting Department.
- Downloads and uploads data files weekly for health and dental insurance.
- Processes company credit card transactions.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Accounting or related field required.
- 3 years of related experience.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation balancing internal control and payroll taxes.
