Job Summary

Job Description:

This role supports a global ecommerce and social commerce financial crime program covering KYC/KYB sanctions screening transaction monitoring enhanced due diligence (EDD) and regulatory reporting across a three-tier alert lifecycle (L1L2L3).

The operating model is transitioning to an AI-augmented workflow where low-risk reviews are automated and analysts focus on validating AI outputs and handling higher-complexity cases.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Review and process KYC/KYB alerts across:
  • L1: Data confirming screening document checks initial risk categorization false-positive clearance
  • L2: Deep-dive investigation of complex cases (high-risk indicators adverse media PEP exposure sanctions concerns unusual activity ownership opacity)
  • L3: Support EDD and sanctions adjudication with detailed investigation reports and evidence packs
  • Verify customer/business information including legal entity details ownership structure (UBO) directors controllers and related parties
  • Conduct risk assessments based on:
    • Sanctions exposure PEP status adverse media
    • Source of funds/wealth business activity geography/product risk
    • Expected vs. actual transaction/activity behavior
  • Perform screening for customers and related parties against sanctions fraud and AML risk indicators; escalate unresolved risks or close matches
  • Validate AI-generated outputs (KYC summaries document extraction risk indicators recommendations) against source data
    • Identify gaps inconsistencies unsupported conclusions or false negatives
  • Produce clear audit-ready case documentation with structured narratives evidence and risk rationale
  • Ensure adherence to SLA timelines and quality standards including:
    • KYC/KYB review: 2 business days
    • Sanctions review: 1 business day
    • EDD investigations: 14 business days
    • Transaction Monitoring review: up to 25 calendar days
    • Minimum quality threshold: 95% accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with investigation teams compliance stakeholders and cross-functional units to resolve complex cases
  • Operate within a controlled environment (ODC/clean room) supporting a 24/7 rotational shift model including night shifts and weekend coverage
  • Requirements:

    1. Experience: 13 years in KYC KYB CDD EDD transaction monitoring fraud risk or sanctions screening
    2. Knowledge & Skills:
    • Strong understanding of financial crime concepts: CIP CDD/EDD UBO PEP sanctions adverse media
    • Ability to review documents validate data and identify inconsistencies or risk indicators
    • Strong analytical thinking and risk-based decision-making capability
    • High attention to detail with ability to manage high-volume cases under strict SLA
  • Communication:
    • Strong English reading comprehension and professional writing skills
    • Ability to produce clear structured audit-ready case narratives
  • Tools & Domain Exposure:
    • Experience with KYC/screening tools case management systems or document verification tools
    • Exposure to ecommerce fintech payments or digital platforms is preferred
    • CAMS or equivalent certification is an advantage
  • Working Model:
    • Full on-site role (no remote/hybrid)
    • Willing to work rotational shifts (including nights and weekends)
    • Comfortable working in a restricted-access operational environment (no personal devices allowed)
