THE ROLE
You will be responsible for shaping and executing the organisations financial strategy ensuring strong governance and providing strategic insight to support transformation and growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Leading financial strategy aligned to business transformation and growth objectives
- Partnering with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making
- Driving financial planning forecasting and performance management
- Providing financial insight to support business development and innovation initiatives
Financial Management & Performance
- Overseeing budgeting forecasting and financial reporting across all business units
- Monitoring financial performance and identifying opportunities for optimisation
- Managing capital allocation and cash flow to support strategic priorities
- Driving cost optimisation while maintaining investment in key growth areas
Governance Risk & Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards
- Managing financial risk through robust internal controls and risk frameworks
- Overseeing audit processes and ensuring alignment with best practices
- Supporting internal audit and risk management functions
Stakeholder Management
- Managing relationships with shareholders banks auditors and external stakeholders
- Providing financial reporting and insights at board and executive level
- Supporting strategic initiatives including acquisitions divestments and investments
Leadership & Team Development
- Leading and developing a high-performing finance team
- Driving a culture of accountability performance and continuous improvement
- Building capability within the finance function to support business growth
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Key requirements:
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- MBA or advanced degree (advantageous)
- 1015 years progressive financial leadership experience
- Prior experience as CFO or Finance Director
- Proven track record in strategic financial planning and transformation
- Experience within media technology or digital environments (advantageous)
- Strong expertise in:
- Financial strategy and performance management
- Corporate governance and regulatory compliance
- Financial modelling and data analysis
- Business restructuring and transformation initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
