About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer specializing in Campus Networks (WiFi Wireless and LAN) to join our team in Eindhoven Netherlands. In this role you will design deploy and maintain enterprise Cisco-based wireless and wired network infrastructures supporting high-performance connectivity across campus environments.
You will play a key role in ensuring reliable and optimized wireless network performance while integrating wired and wireless infrastructure to support modern enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Wireless Network Management
Configure and manage Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) including HA-SSO and mobility groups.
Manage AP onboarding and join processes across campus environments.
Optimize wireless performance using RF profiles band steering and tuning techniques.
Access Point Management
Deploy and manage Cisco Access Points (APs) including:
Cisco 9120
Cisco 9130
Cisco 9166
Perform RF tuning and optimization to ensure high-quality wireless coverage and performance.
Network Monitoring & Automation
Utilize Cisco DNA Center for network automation and monitoring including:
Assurance and telemetry analysis
Software Image Management (SWIM)
Template management for configuration deployment
Wireless Standards & Performance
Apply deep knowledge of 802.11 wireless standards for network design and troubleshooting.
Optimize network performance through QoS configuration roaming optimization and segmentation policies.
WiredWireless Integration
Manage LAN technologies including VLANs Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and 802.1X authentication.
Ensure seamless integration between wired LAN and wireless infrastructure across campus networks.
Support WAN connectivity basics when required for end-to-end network operations.
Required Skills & Experience
68 years of experience in enterprise network engineering roles.
Strong expertise in Cisco wireless networking technologies.
Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers.
Strong understanding of Cisco DNA Center including assurance telemetry and automation.
Deep knowledge of 802.11 wireless standards RF design and roaming optimization.
Solid understanding of LAN networking technologies (VLANs STP 802.1X).
Experience integrating wired and wireless network environments.
