Job Duties:Assist with the processing of garnishments for State employees. Finalize both the monthly and bi-weekly payroll for all State agencies. Prepare the related payroll taxes for the State systems. Process interims (emergency payment requests) and maintain the data integrity for the payroll section of Enterprise One. Assist agencies with questions on processing their payrolls and resolving errors in initial payroll processing. Receive review and process legal and court notices regarding State employee garnishments and maintain garnishment files and respond to garnishment questions as needed. Process the quarterly 941 tax report and the annual W-3 form. Monitor help desk tickets and provide support and training to end users experiencing payroll problems. Other duties assigned within the scope of the classification.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in accounting finance business administration statistics or related field and experience with accounting/financial management systems OR 2 years experience with professional accounting procedures including developing and modifying accounting/financial management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in payroll processing preparing period quarter and annual payroll taxes. Experience and proficiency with the Enterprise One system.
Other: Regular and Reliable attendance is required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Mastery of office software Outlook Excel and Word. Laws of payroll processing. Excellent inter-office communications.
