Safety Specialist | Safety Technician

Job Summary

FlexForce Pros are seeking a dedicated Onsite Safety Technician Safety Specialist to support construction and substation projects in the Lockport LA area for a 6-9 month or longer project. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies conducting audits and working closely with field teams.

Job Duties

• • Monitor job sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

  • Conduct safety audits inspections and risk assessments

  • Lead and participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks

  • Identify hazards and implement corrective actions

  • Work closely with supervisors contractors and crews to promote a strong safety culture

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and client safety requirements

  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports

Minimum Requirements:

Education

• • High School Education or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• • Previous experience in construction or industrial safety required

  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor job site environment

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as needed

Preferred

• • OSHA 30 Certification (or higher)

  • Experience with substation or utility projects

  • First Aid/CPR Certification

Physical Requirements

• • Ability to stand walk bend and stoop for extended periods

  • Ability to lift 10pounds regularly without assistance

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

  • Comfortable working in an outdoor job site environment with varying temperatures and noise levels

Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
