Qualifications: 48college credit hours OR CNA Certification and passed State Paraprofessional test OR

High School Diploma/GED andpassed State paraprofessional test

Job Summary: We are currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to become a SPED Paraprofessional in providing classroom assitance and individualized student support. These positions play a vital role in helping students succeed in a structured educational setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional assistance to students.
• Assist in the implementation of lesson plans.
• Work with individual or small groups of students.
• Assist with classroom instruction.
• Keep appropriate and accurate records or observations of student progress and other performance data as assigned by supervisor.
• Provide input as needed and requested by certified staff or administration.
• Maintain specified classroom and individual discipline health and behavior management at all times.
• Assist in the supervision of student during playground lunchroom library arrivals departures halls auditoriums and gymnasiums.
• Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the classroom.
• Utilize instructional equipment needed to implement instructional plans.
• Assist in the implementation of all programs when in the absence of staff as needed.
• Maintain total confidentiality with all student data.
• Demonstrate support and encouragement to students other paras and certified staff.
• Attend in-services and trainings as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly Pay:$16 $18 (Based on experience and qualifications)

Supervisor: The paraprofessional will be under the direct supervision of a designated certified staff member and will be responsible to and generally supervised by the building principal including an evalutationannually.
