At New Story Schools we serve students ages 521 with autism and emotional behavioral and developmental challenges. Guided by individualized learning therapeutic integration and collaboration we empower students to grow and prepare for meaningful adult lives. Join our team and help students write their new story.

As a Part-time Custodian at New Story Schools you will help maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment that supports student learning and daily school operations. You will play an important role in ensuring classrooms and shared spaces are well maintained organized and ready for students and staff each day.

Hours:

12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

What Youll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Prior custodial or facility cleaning experience preferred

• Knowledge of cleaning methods sanitation procedures and safe handling of chemicals

• Ability to operate custodial equipment such as vacuums and floor machines

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Ability to lift and move equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs.)

• Reliable dependable and able to follow schedules and instructions

What Youll Do

• Clean and sanitize classrooms restrooms hallways offices and common areas

• Sweep mop vacuum dust and disinfect surfaces following safety protocols

• Restock supplies such as soap paper towels and hygiene materials

• Empty trash and recycling and ensure proper waste disposal

• Support room setup and breakdown for meetings and school events

• Respond to spills urgent cleaning needs and sanitation requests

• Report maintenance or safety concerns to leadership

• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in safe working condition

• Assist with deep cleaning projects and seasonal facility needs

• Complete daily logs and documentation accurately
