Managing Director Barcelona Germany Machinery for Solid Dosage Pharma (Coating or Granulation)

The position

We are currently looking to appoint a Managing Director who will lead two Business units of the groupone located near Barcelona (Spain) and another in Germany. This role is critical to ensuring stability and continuity of the companys current global strategy.

Reporting directly to the Group CEO you will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives innovation and business expansion while ensuring that all areas of the organization are fully aligned with corporate objectives.

Your mission

You will be responsible for defining and executing the global strategy optimizing resources and ensuring sustainable profitability balancing short-term financial performance with long-term business development.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: Define and execute strategic and operational plans identify new market opportunities and lead the expansion and growth of the business.

• Operational management: Oversee manufacturing operations ensure quality and efficiency and coordinate key areas such as R&D engineering/design and after-sales service.

• Financial oversight: Manage budgets monitor profitability and approve strategic investments.

• Team leadership: Lead motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement mindset.

• Customer relations & business development: Maintain strong relationships with key customers and represent the company at international trade fairs and industry forums.

• Compliance & quality: Ensure regulatory compliance and promote innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or similar (MBA highly valued).

• Residence near Barcelona or near Friburg.

• 1015 years of professional experience in industrial equipment manufacturing companies with at least 5 years in senior management roles.

• Proven experience in industrial equipment for the solid form of the pharmaceutical sector. Coating or granulation would be desirable.

• Strong knowledge of GMP equipment qualification and validation.

• Solid background in operations supply chain and business development.

• Fluent English required; German is a strong plus.

• A profile with a strong focus on business development and strategy combined with excellent leadership communication and negotiation skills and a clear strategic vision.
