Job Summary
Junior QA Engineer $500$800 USD/month Fully Remote
Location: Fully remote you can be based anywhere in the world
Hours: Flexible async-friendly with some UK or US overlap for standups
Salary: $500$800 USD/month
Contract: Full-time permanent
About the company
Remote World is partnering with a UK-based software company to hire for this role. They build workflow automation tools used by operations teams at mid-size businesses and quality is taken seriously at every release the QA team is a core part of engineering not an afterthought.
The role
Youll test new features and bug fixes before they reach production writing test cases executing manual test runs logging defects clearly and working with developers to get issues resolved. Over time youll contribute to building out automated test coverage.
What youll do
- Write and execute manual test cases for new features and bug fixes
- Log defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and evidence
- Perform regression testing before each release
- Work closely with developers to clarify requirements and verify fixes
- Contribute to automation test scripts as you build familiarity with the codebase
What youll need
- Understanding of software testing principles you know what good test coverage looks like
- Methodical and thorough you dont rush testing and document everything clearly
- Good written English for clear bug reports and test documentation
- Comfortable working in an agile team with regular release cycles
Nice to have
- Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium Cypress Playwright or similar)
- Experience with API testing using Postman
- ISTQB Foundation certificate or studying towards it
