Must Haves:
- 5 years Understands how to do a compliance review / previous experience in conducting compliance reviews
- 5 years of relevant experience in audit risk compliance
- CPA CIA designation
- Excellent verbal and written communication critical thinking

Nice to Have:
- Understanding of OPS requirements under Broader Public Sector Accountability Act
- Location: Up to 5 days onsite (subject to HMs discretion)

Description
- The purpose of this request is to acquire 2 resources to independently conduct compliance reviews of Primary care teams throughout Ontario. Compliance reviews will focus on governance expense reviews and procurement reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and perform risk assessments against a wide variety of inputs.
- Analyzes data from various sources to identify remediation of risks.
- Interprets policies legislation and standards to adequately provide advice for management and executives.
- Experience interpreting requirements from those standards and translating them into actionable implementations
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks control mappings and scoping
- Familiar with a broad range of concepts related to risk audit and compliance
- Expertise in gap analysis remediation control design and risk assessments
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Understanding of OPS requirements under Broader Public Sector Accountability Act
- Previous experience in Public Sector
- Previous experience working in Health care or primary care
Required Skills:
- Auditor must know how to conduct an audit/risk assessment/compliance review including appropriate methodology and documentation; must know IIA standards for auditing
- Risk assessment must know how to adequately assess control gaps and other operational risks
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks control mappings and scoping
- Familiar with a broad range of concepts related to risk audit and compliance
- Expertise in gap analysis remediation control design and risk assessments
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Evaluation Criteria: 100 Points
- Has CPA CIA designation 20 Points
- Has conducted audit compliance work (5 years) 40 Points
- Has written reports and presented findings (5 years) 20 Points
- Understands control design risk assessments control frameworks and IIA standards 20 Points
Deliverables
- Deliverables Include:
- Compliance checklist completion
- Working papers to support compliance work
- Sufficient documentation to support all conclusions made
- Final detailed report to go to organization on all the work performed findings and recommendations
Additional Terms
- The term of this Engagement Assignment is for 147 Business Days with an option to extend for up to an additional 61 days at the Agencys discretion. The Engagement Assignment may be extended for unused Business Days at the Agencys discretion.
- The resource will comply with the Agencys policies and procedures.
- The Agency systems cannot be accessed from outside the province of Ontario and Agency assets including laptops and related equipment cannot be removed from the province of Ontario without prior written approval from the Agency.
- Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as Hybrid. The resource under this request will be required to work onsite as per Hiring Manager sole discretion.
