Position: Material Handler II
Location: Asheville NC - 28804
Duration: 6 Months

Shift: Monday to Thursday 06:00 AM 04:30 PM
Summary:
The Material Handler II is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through material handling inventory movement and shipping/receiving activities. This role requires hands-on experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure efficient loading unloading and storage of materials. The ideal candidate is safety-focused physically capable and experienced in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts including sit-down forklifts reach trucks and order pickers to move materials safely.
- Load and unload trucks ensuring accurate handling of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Pick lift and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials to and from storage and production areas.
- Perform routine inventory handling tasks including put-away and stock organization.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in general warehouse operations as needed.
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Forklift certification is required (sit-down reach truck and picker experience).
- Experience in material handling warehouse or logistics operations.
- Ability to lift move and handle materials safely.
- Strong attention to safety and operational procedures.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Basic communication and teamwork skills.
- Warehouse setting with frequent equipment operation.
- Involves lifting moving and handling materials regularly.
- Requires adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE.
