Our client is seeking an Entry Level Operations Engineer to join a high-impact DevOps team at the Group IT Hub South Africa delivering IT solutions to the global Group.
You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining a central identity provider platform that delivers authentication services for all digital identities and clients - including browser mobile app microservice-to-microservice and IoT device authentication - across any cloud environment using fully automated interfaces and standard authentication protocols.
Authentication Expertise: Support and maintain a central identity provider leveraging standard authentication technologies including SAML OpenID Connect and API Gateway across cloud environments.
Technical Delivery: 5-7 years of IT experience with a solid technical background in Java SpringBoot Angular Kafka AWS and SQL delivering solutions in line with quality and SLA requirements.
Operational Excellence: Strong incident management and troubleshooting capabilities ensuring production stability and supporting after-hours as required within a structured DevOps framework.

Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis: Understand business requirements prepare AS-IS and TO-BE documents and obtain sign-off for functional and/or technical design documents
Documentation: Preparation of system/technical documentation as per ISO standards including user manuals
Solution Design: Proactively propose solutions to improve support of new business processes
System Design Review: Present proposed system solutions to IT Project Managers Leaders and System Owners
Development: Develop system solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
Integration: Interact with consultants of other modules for integration requirements
Testing: Prepare test data and documentation conduct Unit tests Regression tests and System Integration security tests including recording of results and change management activities
Training: Prepare user manuals and conduct training to business process owners
Go-Live Planning: Plan go-live milestones preparation and execution of migration cutover and post Go-Live support activities
Production Support: Troubleshoot resolve and close production support tickets (Incidents & Problems) within defined SLAs
User Management: Analyse and scope end-user authorisation roles
Agile Participation: Execute according to Agile Methodology and attend all team meetings including Stand-ups Sprint Reviews Sprint Retrospectives and Sprint Planning
Coaching: Willingness and ability to mentor and train fellow colleagues and users when required
Client Interaction: Meet with end users gather requirements and interact with clients through meetings calls and emails
