Job Title: Process Technician Plastic Injection Molding
Location: Phoenix AZ
Shift: 2nd shift/3rd shift
Pay: 20.00
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Process Technician with experience in plastic injection molding to support production operations. This role is responsible for setting up troubleshooting and optimizing injection molding machines to ensure high-quality production efficiency and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up start up and shut down injection molding machines and related equipment
- Perform mold installations removals and changeovers safely and efficiently
- Adjust machine parameters (temperature pressure speed cycle time) to maintain quality standards
- Troubleshoot molding issues such as flash short shots warping and sink marks
- Monitor production runs to ensure parts meet quality specifications
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on molds and machines
- Work closely with quality and production teams to resolve issues
- Document process settings production data and any adjustments made
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment (5S standards)
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in plastic injection molding (required)
- Strong understanding of molding processes and machine operation
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues
- Experience with mold setup and changeovers
- Knowledge of quality control standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with hydraulic and electric injection molding machines
- Familiarity with resin types and material handling
- Preventive maintenance experience
- Technical certification in manufacturing or plastics (a plus)
