Job Description
What you will do
- Execute assigned civil and structural engineering work in line with project budgets schedules and quality expectations.
- Support civil systems design and equipment construction activities including responding to supplier questions and evaluating deviation requests.
- Review and approve supplier and vendor technical document submittals.
- Develop manage and support the design analysis and evaluation of assigned systems using sound engineering principles and established engineering standards practices and procedures.
- Incorporate design requirements into calculations analyses and engineering design documents.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders including customers suppliers partners licensing teams the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and international regulatory authorities on technical matters.
- Document technical data clearly and consistently support design reviews and communicate significant issues or project developments in a timely way.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or another engineering discipline.
- Significant experience in civil engineering analysis and design.
- Clear communication sound problem-solving and the ability to work across teams to deliver complex engineering work.
- Ability to document technical information accurately and work within established engineering processes and quality requirements.
Preferred:
- Masters degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
- Construction license.
- Knowledge of structural or mechanical design fundamentals.
- Project management knowledge and experience working in collaborative cross-functional environments.
