Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Senior Planner Pricing Strategy to join our team in Franklin TN.
The Pricing Strategy team seeks a Sr. Planner to lead all pricing activities for assigned vehicle set including in-market and future vehicles. The Sr. Planner supports Marketing Operations and CMM organizations with developing pricing recommendations creating pricing proposals and completing management reports on Visual (Vi) and Value Adjusted (VA) price positioning. This position also provides complex ad-hoc pricing analysis for assigned vehicles per executive request and leads implementation of pricing for model year launches and interim pricing and D&H changes. The Sr. Planner will work closely with CMM Product Planning Finance PMO and Market Intelligence among other functional teams.
A Day in the Life:
Pricing Approval and Implementation for assigned vehicle set
Works with CMM PMO Product Planning and Finance to develop and present pricing proposals to Senior Management; schedules meetings with all stakeholders and leads meetings for multiple levels
Implements pricing for model year launches and mid-model year pricing changes including pricing entry in SAP/HOST Monroney label multi-step check and broadcasting information to internal and external stakeholders
Retains all pricing approval documentation per record retention guidelines
Reporting & Analysis
Develops monthly Visual and Value-Adjusted (Vi & VA price positioning) report for assigned vehicle set
Analyzes Vi/VA changes on monthly basis at trim level; reflects all competitive pricing actions including MSRP content and incentive changes
Provides commentary on Vi/VA/TP-VA changes in monthly and weekly reports noting any recent or upcoming pricing announcements
Reviews reported competitive model/trim set annually with working groups adjusts if necessary
Provides ad-hoc analysis support with clear and concise ways to visualize data in tables charts and graphs
Develops Vi/VA projections for assigned vehicle set or brand in support of corporate strategies; recommends pricing adjustments based on competitive positioning
Support for assigned vehicle set
Works with CMM Product Planning PMO and Finance to develop recommendations regarding price positioning and dealer margin structure of future and in-market vehicles
Serves as an office of record for Price/Value Forms (PVF) on assigned models for vehicle milestones MY launches and budget cycles; coordinates all updates including changes to grade-walk strategy price content mix and volume. Responsible for verifying PVF accuracy before submitting to Business Strategy and Finance groups for inclusion in the LCEP/LCP and budget submissions.
Monitors market trends and significant changes to competitive pricing and dealer margin strategies in support of: a) Maximizing corporate profitability b) Identifying pricing opportunities and risks c) Considering industry and consumer pricing trends d) Improving brand opinion/image e) Supporting fiscal year budget and product plans
Marketing Operations Initiatives Support
Provides input on Value Table structure features and recent equipment changes that may impact consumer value perceptions
Maintains and periodically reviews desk procedures ensuring that pricing team follows uniform and consistent methods of collecting validating and interpreting competitive intelligence
Supports Product Clinics for consumer feedback of projected future pricing
Who Were Looking for:
Strong analytical presentation and strategic thinking skills. Must be able to multi-task adjust to changes in processes and priorities and independently and effectively plan their work. Excellent negotiation and cross-functional skills are required to effectively balance priorities from various functional groups.
7 or more years of directly related professional level experience preferably in Marketing and Sales or related function. Will also consider analytically inclined candidates with good understanding of Marketing and Sales processes in Nissan.
Demonstrated experience in quantitative analysis and cross-functional high visibility projects preferred.
Bachelors degree in business finance or related preferred and may be substituted for some of the required years of experience.
Advanced Excel skills are a must experience with PowerPoint presentations is required. Product knowledge experience with vPipe VINPipe SAP Tableau and HOST systems is highly desirable. Will use additional tools such as Autoplanner JD Power PIN and JATO on a daily basis.
