The Cost Analyst supports McKissack and McKissack project and program teams by deliveringaccuratetimelycost analysis across assigned projects. This role focuses on budgeting forecasting cost tracking and variance analysis to protect financial performance and support informed decision making. The ideal candidate is detail focused disciplined and comfortable working across multiple projects infast pacedenvironments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide cost analysis support from project planning through closeout.
- Develop and maintainproject budgets cost estimates and cash flow forecasts.
- Track actual costs against approved budgets and identifyvariances early.
- Prepare clear cost reports for project teams and executive leadership.
- Support change order pricing and cost impact evaluations.
- Review contracts schedules and scopes to identifycost risk.
- Validate vendor pricing invoices and pay applications.
- Maintain cost coding structures and reporting standards.
- Partner with project managers to strengthen cost controls and forecastingaccuracy.
- Support audits financial reviews and client reporting requirements.
Requirements:
- 3 plus years of experience in cost analysis project controls or financial analysis.
- Bachelors degree in finance Accounting Construction Management Engineering or related field.
- Experience supporting construction or capital improvement projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
- Advanced proficiencyin Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or project cost platforms such as Procore e Builder or similar tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present cost data clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Compensation:
Salary range: $75000 - $85000/yearly (dependent on years of experience competency travel requirements)
