How You Will Make an ImpactAs a Custom Truck Carpenter at Reading Truck youll play a key role in building and finishing custom truck bodies from the ground up. This is a hands-on position where your craftsmanship directly impacts the quality durability and functionality of our final under the direction of the Shop Supervisor youll perform framing paneling cabinetry and finish carpentry in a fast-paced production environment. If you have a background in remodeling cabinetry or construction and take pride in precision work this is a great opportunity to bring your skills into a stable growing Youll Do (The Nuts and Bolts)Follow all safety policies and PPE requirementsBuild and install truck interiors including shelving flooring panels trim cabinetry and ceilingsPerform finish carpentry work such as trim molding and detailed installationsCut measure and assemble wood aluminum galvanized steel and composite materialsRead blueprints shop drawings and layout instructions to ensure accuracyInstall hardware including brackets hinges fasteners and other componentsSand finish and seal surfaces to meet quality and durability standardsInspect work and identify defects or needed repairsMaintain a clean organized and safe work environmentPerform basic maintenance checks on tools and equipmentSupport team production goals and assist other departments as neededPerform other duties as assignedRequired CredentialsHands-on carpentry or cabinetmaking experienceAbility to read blueprints shop drawings and tape measures accuratelyOwn set of hand and power tools suitable for carpentryStrong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructionsHigh school diploma or GED preferredHow We Make an ImpactAt Reading Truck we have more than 65 years of industry leadership in the manufacture distribution and enhancement of work truck bodies.
