Job Title: Dental Assistant
Location: Green Bay WI
Schedule: Variable
Duration: Per-Diem (Flexible)
Job Summary:
The Dental Assistant supports dental providers in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting during procedures preparing treatment areas and ensuring a safe and efficient clinical environment. This role requires strong attention to detail excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready for procedures
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument handling suctioning and patient support
- Prepare and position patients for treatment ensuring comfort and safety
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Mix and prepare dental materials as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support dental and medical emergencies as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety hygiene and confidentiality standards
- Maintain equipment and manage clinical supplies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
Certifications & Licensure:
- Dental Assistant certification/registration (as required by state)
- CPR certification
- X-ray certification or training
Work Environment:Per-diem role with flexible scheduling across clinical settings
