Lower School Assistant Teacher FT

Lower School is excited to announce full-time Assistant Teacher opportunities in the upper grades.

Description

• Assist lead teachers with daily classroom tasks.
• Assist and/or lead small group work for enrichment and reinforcement.
• Assist in carrying out a variety of age-appropriate and theme related activities.
• Assist the lead teacher in leading supervising and providing classroom structure.
• Provide on campus supervision for play areas to ensure childrens safety and learning.
• Supervise lunch every day.
• Provide support and supervision of off campus excursions.
• Maintain an organized and efficient classroom.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head of Lower School

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field.
• Previous experience teaching preferred.
• Adept at both large and small group instruction.
• Proficient in using technology as an instructional tool.
• Experience teaching in an independent school preferred.

• Strong desire to participate in the whole life of the school.
