About the Position
Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer - Topside/Onshore to join the Discipline Engineering team. Reporting to the Discipline Engineering Manager this role will be based in Chevrons office in Bengaluru.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that all documentation including design and test documentation meets the required quality standards.
Lead and participate in design reviews risk reviews and criticality work shops
Perform and lead quality Audits and inspections to identify non-conformances and improvement opportunities track and manage corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely resolutions of issues.
Develop and manage key metrics and quality reports analyze quality deliverables performance identify and manage improvement opportunities track corrective actions
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure they meet required quality standards and provide quality assurance support
Provide guidance and support to functional project and BU teams and leaders to ensure quality requirements are met and risks identified and mitigated.
Develop and implement quality plans procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards
Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Participate in Audit and Assurance activities and on cross functional teams and on industry committees.
Support and participate in vendor and manufacturer qualification processes and review and coordinate Vendor inspections reports site visits and other documentation
Provide training as needed to projects BUs and other external business partners
Develop and maintain risked based quality management systems plans and tools with customers and internal and external partners and provide overall quality function oversight and assurance to project and facility operations and turn around activities.
Required Qualifications
BS Engineering in a core disciplines - Chemical Mechanical Electrical from a recognized (AICTE) university
ISO Lead Auditor Certified to ISO 9001 and or ISO 29001
Preferred Qualifications
10 years of experience managing and implementing quality management systems and standards in a business unit or on a major capital project in Concept Select Pre-FEED FEED and Execution for Oil & Gas Operators.
Knowledge and experience of Lean and Six Sigma principles
Knowledge and experience developing quality plans inspection and test plans quality function procedures leading criticality rating workshops experience leading and participating in Root Cause Analysis teams and methodologies
