Customer Journey Analytics is a premier solution that helps marketers grasp customer behavior and make more informed decisions with precise timely and insightful data. Our clients use it to uncover the most valuable customer segments and channel these insights to manage an entire business through customer intelligence.
What We Are Looking For
The role calls for an AINative Sr Data Platform Engineer to advance the data and service foundations behind Adobe Analytics and Customer Journey Analytics.
This is not a pure AI role and not a traditional bigdata role. Were seeking engineers who recognize that AI systems depend heavily on the quality of the platforms supporting them.
You likely have:
10 years of handson experience building and operating distributed systems backend services or largescale data platforms.
Strong experience with event streaming and messaging systems (Kafka Kafka Streams Flink Kinesis or similar).
Experience building data pipelines using Spark Databricks Flink or comparable technologies.
Solid understanding of operating production systems: Kubernetes CI/CD monitoring alerting and incident response.
Experience crafting and operating scalable REST services.
Strong engineering fundamentals (Java preferred; Python familiarity a plus).
A pragmatic approach: you care about correctness performance reliability and cost not just features.
AIRelated Expectations (Important)
You do not need qualifications as an AI researcher.
You do need to:
Be comfortable integrating AI/ML capabilities into production systems.
Think critically about observability evaluation and failure modes for AIassisted features.
Care about responsible AI principles (privacy transparency safety) when shipping real userfacing functionality.
AI here is embedded within the system not a nice-to-have.
Nice to Have
Scala experience.
Experience with Jenkins Argo or similar CI/CD tooling.
Strong observability background (Prometheus Grafana Splunk Fluentbit).
Experience operating systems during hightraffic or eventdriven spikes.
Prior exposure to AIassisted features LLM APIs or AIpowered services in production.
Familiarity with monitoring AI/ML systems (telemetry drift performance signals).

Required Experience:
Senior IC
