Summary of Position: Adjunct faculty are essential to providing a quality academic experience for Indiana Wesleyan University students. Adjuncts will employ a range of engaging teaching strategies designed to foster student learning and stimulate class discussion. Applicants must have appropriate academic or professional experience within the given academic discipline demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning and be able to integrate their Christian faith into the classroom content.
Duties and Responsibilities
Attend and lead all required class sessions
Promptly assess student coursework and submit via Brightspace (the universitys learning management system)
Coordinate with Division Chair and/or Academic Dean regarding classroom or student issues in a timely manner
Qualifications:According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Demonstrated subject-matter expertise and the ability to connect concepts to real-world applications
Proficiency in using a learning management system (LMS) and other educational technology tools
Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population
