LOCATION: This is a fully onsite position based at the Ridgefield NJ site. Unfortunately relocation assistance is NOT provided.

DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific where youll manage and enhance strategic sourcing initiatives as a Procurement/Sourcing Specialist III. Working with cross-functional teams youll drive sourcing strategies prepare data and analyze cost trends and manage supplier relationships to deliver value through cost savings risk mitigation and supply chain optimization. Youll support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer by ensuring reliable cost-effective procurement of critical materials and services.

REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Degree plus 2 years of experience or Bachelors Degree plus 4 years of procurement/sourcing experience in mid to large multinational companies within a manufacturing / pharmaceutical environment
Preferred Fields of Study: Business Supply Chain Management
Professional certifications (CPSM CSCP CPM) are desirable
Proven success executing strategic sourcing initiatives supplier negotiations and contract management
Experience working in regulated industries like life sciences medical devices or pharmaceuticals preferred
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
Proficiency with SAP and other ERP systems spend analytics and procurement tools
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Ability to build consensus and collaborate across global matrix organizations
Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and process improvements
Strong project management capabilities
Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial
Comprehensive understanding of procurement best practices processes and methodologies
Experience with continuous improvement/lean methodologies
Demonstrated negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and PowerPoint
