The City of Fishers Community Center is seeking an enthusiastic Health and Fitness Coordinator Sports Camp who is passionate about youth development and active play to join the Camp Playmakers team! In this role you will lead and support a high-energy all-sports camp by coordinating weekly activities facilitating skill-building games and ensuring a safe inclusive environment where every camper feels part of the team. Youll help bring each weeks athletic focus to life while encouraging participation confidence and teamwork among campers of all skill levels. This position requires strong organization creativity and a commitment to delivering a fun engaging experience for every participant. Examples of Duties

• Assist with the implementation of youth sports camp including supervising children during games/activities to ensure they are played in a safe manner. Help to establish clear behavior expectations for all program participants and ensure that they are followed throughout the program.
• Build relationships with program participants and create an atmosphere based on fair play that is incorporated in a manner that is both demonstrative and professional.
• Develop running routes practice schedules and group participants by skill level. Maintain accurate records and attend offsite events.
• Ensure the proper set-up/break down of sports equipment. Maintain a safe and clean environment by enforcing all safety guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons by addressing inquiries resolving concerns and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions.
• Ensure safety of patrons and be prepared to take charge in an emergency if necessary. Act as a first responder in the event of an emergency providing immediate assistance administering first aid or CPR as needed and following proper emergency protocols to ensure member and staff safety. Report any accidents/emergencies immediately and complete accident reports as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons by addressing inquiries resolving concerns promoting programs and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma and one (1) or more years of experience managing leading sports activities.
• Knowledge of effective instructional methods for individuals and groups along with the physical ability to lead and actively participate in sports activities.
• Able to collaboratively solve problems in a way that builds and maintains positive productive working relationships with members employees and the public.
• Must have an Adult CPR/AED First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within the first 60 days. Training will be provided.
• Must be able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and background noises.
