Position Title: Dental Assistant

Duration: Up to 52 Weeks (based on candidate preference)
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Dental Assistant to support the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting with general dental procedures ensuring patient comfort maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment and supporting both clinical and administrative functions within the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up treatment rooms prior to patient appointments
- Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments and managing materials
- Take and process dental X-rays as required
- Educate patients on oral hygiene treatment plans and post-care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
- Support scheduling billing and front-desk operations as needed
- Monitor maintain and restock dental supplies and equipment
- Ensure a safe clean and welcoming environment for patients and staff
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to ensure smooth workflow
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant
- Knowledge of general dental procedures and chairside assisting
Preferred:
- Experience with dental practice management software
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Education
Required:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program
OR - Minimum one (1) year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant
Preferred:
- Additional certifications or formal training in dental assisting
Certifications & Licensure
Required:
- Valid X-ray certification
- 12 years of relevant hands-on experience
Preferred:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential
