Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Dental Assistant to support the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting with general dental procedures ensuring patient comfort maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment and supporting both clinical and administrative functions within the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and set up treatment rooms prior to patient appointments
Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols
Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments and managing materials
Take and process dental X-rays as required
Educate patients on oral hygiene treatment plans and post-care instructions
Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
Support scheduling billing and front-desk operations as needed
Monitor maintain and restock dental supplies and equipment
Ensure a safe clean and welcoming environment for patients and staff
Communicate effectively with patients and team members to ensure smooth workflow
Skills & Experience
Required:
Prior experience as a Dental Assistant
Knowledge of general dental procedures and chairside assisting
Preferred:
Experience with dental practice management software
Strong organizational and communication skills
Education
Required:
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program OR
Minimum one (1) year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant
Preferred:
Additional certifications or formal training in dental assisting
