Associate Legal
Job Summary
The Associate Legal supports the Legal function by providing timely and practical legal assistance across day-to-day operations. The role focuses on legal research drafting regulatory monitoring and advisory support to Counsel/Senior Counsel while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The position works closely with business units to help identify and mitigate legal risks effectively.
Position Responsibilities:
- Handle a variety of day-to-day legal inquiries from business units across the organization.
- Provide legal analysis and preliminary legal opinions to Counsel/Senior Counsel on operational and regulatory matters.
- Conduct legal research on statutory regulatory and case law issues to support legal advice and decision-making.
- Assist in drafting reviewing and revising legal documents including agreements internal policies and correspondence.
- Support negotiations where required under the supervision of Counsel/Senior Counsel.
- Monitor legislative regulatory and industry developments and provide regular updates to the Legal team.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of legal systems documentation and processes.
- Assist in identifying legal risks and propose practical mitigation approaches.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and professional discretion.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Indonesia.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience preferably in financial services insurance or a regulated industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Solid understanding of legal systems statutory interpretation and case law.
- Demonstrated ability to draft clear and accurate legal documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and well-organized working style.
- Tactful professional and able to operate with a high level of discretion
