Diagnostic Software Product Owner

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Software Product Owner to join our consultancy team for a critical assignment within the automotive electrification sector. You will lead the diagnostic domain for inverter software development bridging the gap between legislative requirements and cutting-edge engineering.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex software architectures and coordinate seamlessly between global teams in Sweden and China.
Core Responsibilities
As the Product Owner for Diagnostics you will:
Lead & Own: Take full ownership of the diagnostic field within inverter software development.
Requirements & Compliance: Perform deep-dive requirements analysis based on OBD legislation ISO standards OEM specifications and FMEA.
Strategy & Design: * Design monitor strategies focused on stable robustness.
Define diagnostic architecture across application and basic software layers.
Compile technical requirements at both the software and component levels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary interface between System BSW and Hardware engineers.
Deliverables: Produce essential documentation including OBD Certification Documents and Fault Handling Specifications.
Validation Support: Support unit design test planning and issue analysis during the validation phase.
Safety Integration: Facilitate the critical interaction between Diagnostics and Functional Safety (FuSa).
Qualifications :
Your Profile
To succeed in this role you should have a robust technical background and the ability to translate complex regulations into actionable engineering tasks.
Technical Expertise
Standards: Strong command of OBDII EOBD J1979 J2012 and ISO 14229 (UDS).
Architecture: Familiarity with AUTOSAR specifically the DEM (Diagnostic Event Manager) and FIM (Function Inhibition Manager) modules.
Analysis: Deep understanding of FMEA/FTA and the ability to perform detailed diagnostic analysis.
Domain Knowledge: Solid experience with electrified transmissions and electric drive units (EDU).
Experience & Skills
Proven track record in diagnostic monitor design for hybrid/electric transmissions.
Experience with diagnostic work methodologies audits and assessments.
Communication: Advanced skills in knowledge transfer and the ability to present complex technical roadmaps to diverse stakeholders.
