The Senior HR Business partner acts as a strategic liaison between HR and the Global Service (GS) organization of 900 global employees. Creates and implements HR strategies aligned with business objectives provides guidance on HR policies and practices and fosters a culture of employee engagement and development.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborating with Global Service senior management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organizations strategic goals and objectives.
- Aligning HR policies and programs for GS which promote employee engagement retention and performance.
- Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters including performance management compensation and benefits etc.
- Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
What You Will Have:
- Education: Degree in related field or equivalent experience desired
- Business Acumen: Extensive knowledge of all aspects of Human Resources and knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the companys business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Must have the confidence to influence all levels of leadership and provide guidance to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues opportunities and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations.
- Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organizations vision structure culture philosophy operating principles values and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Has the confidence to influence and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies for all levels of employees up to and including the GS Vice President; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
- Employee Relations: Knowledge of the rights and obligations in the employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
- Human Resources Consulting: Knowledge of HR approaches tools and techniques; ability to inform guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.
- Talent Management: Knowledge of how an organization attracts recruits retains identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.

- The primary location for this position is Peoria IL
- This role requires 5 days a week in office

Summary Pay Range:
$147760.00 - $221640.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
