The Role

The Presales Associate Architect is Presidio Indias entry point into the US enterprise presales engine and its anything but a support role. Based in India and operating within Presidios Global Delivery Center (GDC) you will be a working member of the US Presales Architecture team from Day 1 supporting networking and infrastructure solution design across LAN/WAN SD-WAN and security fundamentals for US enterprise customers.

You will work alongside US-based architects on real opportunities building Bills of Materials on Cisco Arista HP/Aruba and Fortinet platforms and progressively taking on documentation RFP research and solution diagramming responsibilities.

This role is the foundation of a global presales career designed to produce a fully independent Presales Architect within 1824 months through structured mentorship OEM certification support and direct exposure to US enterprise deal cycles.

Responsibilities Include:

• Support Senior Architects (India & US) in designing end-to-end networking and infrastructure solutions LAN WAN SD-WAN and basic security for US enterprise customers.
• Create and validate accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs) using OEM configurators Cisco CCW Arista CloudVision/EOS pricing HP/Aruba sales tools Fortinet pricing portal under Senior SA oversight.
• Assist in RFP/RFI response development: research technical content populate compliance matrices document solution components and format proposal sections to Presidio quality standards.
• Build solution diagrams network topology maps and architecture illustrations using Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint for US customer-facing proposals and presentations.
• Gather and document technical requirements from US Account Managers and Senior SAs during discovery calls; track open items and coordinate follow-up with OEM/distribution contacts.

Develop Statement of Work (SoW) draft sections and professional services pricing estimates aligned to Presidios PS frameworks.

• Coordinate with OEM partner SEs and distribution contacts (Cisco Arista HPE/Aruba Fortinet) for current pricing product availability EoL/EoS data and configuration guidance.
• Maintain presales content repositories: solution templates BoM libraries SoW frameworks architecture patterns and OEM certification trackers for team reuse.
• Participate in shadow-mode customer discovery sessions and technical presentations; build customer-facing delivery skills under senior oversight with structured feedback loops.
• Proactively leverage AI tools (proposal co-pilots BoM automation GenAI assistants) to accelerate output quality and day-to-day presales productivity.
• Drive personal certification roadmap (CCNA JNCIS NSE 4) with Presidios OEM-sponsored learning support.

  • Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNA level): LAN/WAN VLANs OSPF/BGP basics; Cisco Catalyst / Meraki awareness; SD-WAN concepts (Cisco Viptela / Meraki SD-WAN); Arista EOS platform awareness (7000-series switching CloudVision intro); HP/Aruba basics (HPE FlexFabric / ProCurve switching Aruba CX OS Aruba Central cloud management); Juniper EX/SRX basics (switching routing SRX firewall awareness).
• Security (secondary)
  • NGFW fundamentals: Palo Alto PA-Series Fortinet FortiGate Cisco ASA/FTD; VPN / IPSec concepts; basic Zero Trust and ZTNA awareness; understanding of perimeter vs. identity-centric security models; Fortinet NSE 14 awareness.

  • AWS Foundational: EC2 S3 VPC IAM; Azure Fundamentals: VMs VNet Azure AD; hybrid cloud concepts; cloud migration terminology; cloud-native vs. lift-and-shift awareness.
• Data Center
  • Compute basics: Cisco UCS Dell PowerEdge HPE ProLiant; storage fundamentals: NetApp (ONTAP basics) Dell EMC Unity/PowerStore Pure Storage FlashArray awareness; VMware vSphere/vCenter basics; HCI: Nutanix (AHV Prism Central basics) VxRail awareness.

KEY DIFFERENTIATORS:

• Prior exposure to US-based customers or international team support in a documentation or presales assistance capacity.
• Hands-on OEM portal experience: Cisco Partner Hub Arista partner portal HPE partner tools deal registration quoting or configuration workflows.
• Multi-OEM BoM experience in a single engagement (Cisco network Fortinet security HPE compute in one solution).
• Background in a VAR/SI/GDC environment with awareness of offshore-onshore delivery and follow-the-sun models.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools for work productivity proposal drafting research automation or BoM validation.
