Registered Nurse Medical / Surgical (High Acuity Trauma Unit) Location: Atlanta GA 30303 Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Night Shift
Position Overview: Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity Medical/Surgical unit specializing in surgical trauma care. The unit manages complex and critical patient cases including spinal injuries and neuro trauma.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care for a high-acuity surgical trauma population
Manage patients with conditions such as gunshot wounds quadriplegia and paraplegia
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing support techs phlebotomists unit secretaries ED staff and admitting nurses
Participate in structured nurse-to-nurse handoff process
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical or Trauma nursing
Active BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Strong experience with EPIC EMR required
Must be flexible to work assigned night shifts (no block scheduling)
No RTO (Requested Time Off not permitted during assignment)
