Registered Nurse Medical / Surgical (High Acuity Trauma Unit)
Location: Atlanta GA 30303
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity Medical/Surgical unit specializing in surgical trauma care. The unit manages complex and critical patient cases including spinal injuries and neuro trauma.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for a high-acuity surgical trauma population
- Manage patients with conditions such as gunshot wounds quadriplegia and paraplegia
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing support techs phlebotomists unit secretaries ED staff and admitting nurses
- Participate in structured nurse-to-nurse handoff process
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical or Trauma nursing
- Active BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Strong experience with EPIC EMR required
- Must be flexible to work assigned night shifts (no block scheduling)
- No RTO (Requested Time Off not permitted during assignment)
