Field Application Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a results-oriented Field Applications Engineer to drive the end-to-end technical support and deployment of industry-leading semiconductor solutions. Based in Penang you will serve as the primary technical interface for key local customers ensuring successful solution integration and long-term relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Technical Support: Provide comprehensive hardware support from pre-sales component selection and schematic/PCB reviews to reference design delivery.

Hardware Integration: Lead prototype bring-up system debugging and Proof of Concept (POC) validation for high-speed hardware platforms.

On-Site Troubleshooting: Conduct failure analysis and resolve complex technical issues on-site to ensure project closure.

Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to facilitate technical seminars product demonstrations and project approvals.

Production Oversight: Drive projects through the lifecycle from initial design-in to mass production and volume ramp-up.

Technical Requirements

Experience in hardware design or FAE roles specifically within networking storage or server environments. Experience with major industry-standard chipsets is highly preferred.

Solid foundation in high-speed circuit design and analog/digital electronics.

Proficiency with oscilloscopes logic analyzers and Signal Integrity (SI) tools.

Proven ability to handle server or switch bring-up and complex hardware debugging.

Education & Soft Skills

Bachelors degree or higher in Electronic Engineering Telecommunications Computer Science or a related STEM field.

Fluent in both English and Chinese; both languages are required for professional technical documentation and customer interaction.

Strong project management skills with a result-oriented mindset and the ability to solve problems independently at customer sites.
