Quality Assurance Officer
Job Summary
We currently have an opportunity for a Risk & Commercial Assurance Manager to join our Risk and Commercial team and play a key role in strengthening governance managing risk and providing assurance across our operations. Reporting to the Assurance Lead youll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
Location: Sydney or Brisbane
This role includes monthly travel across Australia and New Zealand to Downer sites.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
Partnering with leaders to deliver risk and commercial assurance activities that support sound decisionmaking and strong governance.
Leading assurance reviews and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement uplift capability and manage risk exposure.
Supporting the development and implementation of risk assurance and commercial frameworks aligned to Downers objectives.
Providing clear practical insights and recommendations to stakeholders balancing risk awareness with commercial outcomes.
Contributing to a collaborative supportive team culture where knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are valued.
What Youll Bring
Experience in risk assurance commercial audit or governance roles within complex or regulated environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to communicate clearly and influence positively at all levels.
A thoughtful solutionsfocused approach with the ability to balance detail with bigpicture thinking.
Welldeveloped analytical skills and sound judgement supported by a commitment to quality and integrity.
A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in learning development and growing with the organisation.
