Quality Assurance Officer

We currently have an opportunity for a Risk & Commercial Assurance Manager to join our Risk and Commercial team and play a key role in strengthening governance managing risk and providing assurance across our operations. Reporting to the Assurance Lead youll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

Location: Sydney or Brisbane

This role includes monthly travel across Australia and New Zealand to Downer sites.

What Youll Do

This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:

• Partnering with leaders to deliver risk and commercial assurance activities that support sound decisionmaking and strong governance.

• Leading assurance reviews and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement uplift capability and manage risk exposure.

• Supporting the development and implementation of risk assurance and commercial frameworks aligned to Downers objectives.

• Providing clear practical insights and recommendations to stakeholders balancing risk awareness with commercial outcomes.

• Contributing to a collaborative supportive team culture where knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are valued.

What Youll Bring

• Experience in risk assurance commercial audit or governance roles within complex or regulated environments.

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to communicate clearly and influence positively at all levels.

• A thoughtful solutionsfocused approach with the ability to balance detail with bigpicture thinking.

• Welldeveloped analytical skills and sound judgement supported by a commitment to quality and integrity.
